Moshe Cohen and Guy Totaro led a group singing session. Music is a big part of the Shine On! Smile Ambassador Program and thanks to a generous donation by the KIWAYA Ukulele Company, Guy can bring his new "Famous" brand Ukulele everywhere he goes!
August was a very busy and productive month for the Tyler Foundation’s Shine On! Smile Ambassador Program. Moshe Cohen from Clowns Without Boarders was our guest for 3 amazing and intense weeks. Moshe, who is also known affectionately as “Mr YooWho”, brought his wealth of global crisis relief experience and his immense love for children to a successful training program in Tokyo and an amazing 10 day Tohoku relief tour. The tour was a massive effort that had incredible results – 19 shows and 17 workshops for and with 1,177 kids!

During the 4 day Smile Ambassador workshop (at Our Space in Hatagaya) 20 potential Ambassadors learned and re-learned how to play, how to access their funny, how to get permission to interact and much more.
Moshe has now returned to his base in San Francisco and will soon move on to help others in need in far away places, but he left behind a huge part of himself that will continue to help Guy, the Smile Ambassador and the people of Tohoku for a very very long time.
Thank you Moshe Cohen, to The Emirates Airline Foundation for his ticket, and to all of you for your continued support.
Here is a post by Moshe on his blog, “Laughter for Japan”.
