The Tyler Foundation’s Shine on! Therapy Dog Program is looking for new therapy dog handlers. Are you ready to try a new challenge with these therapy dogs who are working in hospitals everyday?

Bailey, usually works at the Shizuoka Children’s Hospital, but today he went to the Shine On! House to meet five families.

Bailey was in Kanagawa today and enjoyed seeing snow for the first time! He was running around and slipping all over the place, but he loved it!

Japan’s first full-time therapy dog to work in a children’s hospital was featured on Nippon TV’s The Testuwan Dash!! Dog Special on Sunday, January 15th from 7 pm～8:54pm.

Shine On! Therapy Dog, Bailey was featured on Nihon TV’s Tensai ! Shimura Dobutsuen Special.

On December 2nd, 2011 the Shizuoka Shinbun published an article about the Tyler Foundation’s Shine On! Therapy Dog Program.

The Tyler Foundation’s Shine On! Therapy Dog Program was featured by the magazine, Josei Seven Magazine, on November 24th, 2011.

Perhaps you know that Bailey visits children in hospital to support them and their families. However, did you know that Bailey also visits expectant mothers in the hospital? While children get priority, Bailey visits the obstetrics ward once a week, so that expectant mothers can also receive the pleasure of his company. Bailey enjoys the visits too.

Starting from today (Friday November 11), the book, “I Love Bailey – Therapy Dogs and the Children at Pediatric Hospitals” will go on sale, published by Shogakukan.
