Phil Robertson ran the Jubilo Memorial Marathon (21 km) on November 13th to raise money for the Shine On! Tohoku Childrens’ Support Program.

Tokyo-based live media producer, husband, marathoner, apple user & change enthusiast Joseph Tame is a well-known character on the Tokyo running scene, using multiple iPhones, customized camera rigs and a birdfeeder to share the marathon experience with thousands of online viewers all around the world.

I have lived in Tokyo on and off for 20 years with my husband and 3 children. When I came over in 1984 I certainly didn’t expect to be here so long, but I love it. My passion for running (some might call it “obsession”) is pretty well known in my community, I’ll pick anyone up along the way! I’m lucky that I can spend my summers in a place which is the opposite of Tokyo, Northern Michigan, I consider it the best of both worlds.

You have to be crazy to run a marathon and as this is not my first I am clearly deranged, well to those who already know me this will be no surprise. However, if you are going to ruin a Sunday morning in bed there are few better causes than Tyler and the difference the foundation makes for people who have no choice about the situation they face.
