Dr Shigeko Saiki-Craighill

Shigeko Saiki-Craighill received her doctorate in nursing sciences from the University of California, San Francisco in 1994. Currently she is the professor of pediatric nursing at Tokyo Metropolitan University, specializing in qualitative research methodology with a research emphasis in the medical culture surrounding pediatric cancer patients and their families. Her major publications include “The Trajectory of the Battle: The development of the mother when a child is lost to cancer” (Kawashima Shoten, 1999/2002), “A Seminar in Qualitative Research Methodology “(Igaku Shoin, 2005), and “The Grounded Theory Approach” (Shinyosha, 2006).
