The Tyler Foundation Awards CNS Scholarships 2009!
Congratulations to our two newest CNS scholars, Jyun Yokoi and Yuka Saito. In April, Yokoi and Saito each received scholarships to further their studies in pediatric oncology nursing. Their personal stories of why they have chosen pediatric oncology are moving and we invite you read the full text of their acceptance speeches.

What is the Certified Nurse Specialist (CNS)Scholarship Program?
To provide better care for pediatric patients, The Tyler Foundation encourages top nurses who are studying in a Certified Nurse Specialist course at postgraduate schools of nursing to pursue higher qualifications by awarding scholarships. Compared to other advanced countries, in Japan, there is a lack of qualified nurse specialists and nurses with long-term experience to step into leadership positions of pediatric wards.
