Shine On! Club
The Shine On! Club is the Tyler Foundation’s membership plan. The Tyler Foundation is dedicated to making life better for kids with cancer in Japan and their families. Our innovative and empowering programs touch thousands of children across Japan each month and are supported entirely by private and corporate donations.
By becoming a Shine On! Club member, you will be joining a community of people who support children with cancer in Japan and their families.
Shine On! Club Membership Fees
For 10,000 yen per year – you will make a difference in the life of a child fighting cancer or coping with the trauma of having lost everything in the earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku region.
Here are some examples of how your money can be put to work:
One individual membership of 10,000 yen will provide:
- Two nights of emergency accommodation for a family at the Shine On! House in Setagaya-ku
- Food for a month for Bailey the full-time therapy dog
- One month of bedside counseling and support for a pediatric oncology patient
- One Saturday event for patients and families at the Shine On! House
- One year of the Shine On! Beads of Courage program for one child
And when 10 people become members, 100,000 yen will provide:
- 3 months of Shine On! Beads of Courage at one hospital
- Transportation and accommodation for the Shine On! Smile Ambassador team visit to Tohoku for one week to visit approx. 500-700 children
- 75 visits (one week of kids) to the Shine On! Clinic at National Center for Child Health and Development (the only dedicated pediatric oncology outpatient and follow-up clinic in Japan).
Individual memberships cost 10,000 yen. Family memberships (a couple with or without children) cost 12,000 yen and corporate memberships 50,000 (please contact us for details).
Our yearly membership fees are charged in Japanese yen. Below are the approximate equivalents in USD, GBP and EUR.
